Custom costume of own design

Im not sure where else i could have posted this on this forum, so i figured here would be the best spot.

Ive been wanting to make a costume of a character i created, but im not sure what material to use. I have a decent amount of EVA foam mats to use for it but im not sure if that is the best thing to use.

So basically, I want it to be all one piece, or atleast the joints covered up well to make it look like one piece.

Is there maybe a latex sheet or something along those lines i could put over the gaps and heat up/smooth to make it look one piece?

Any help is appreciated
