Hey guys, I've been a member over at the 405th for several years now, and I've been a bit of a lurker for a while here too, in fact, this will be my first actual post. I've been working on my Recruit helmet for a little while now, in fact, I've already molded it and started pouring casts. I thought I'd come over here and show some of my work on it, maybe I'll start another thread to showcase my other build as well.

Okay, lets start at the beginning, the pep build. (Everyone likes to see progress pictures right? You don't want it to magically be finished and wonder how I got there do you?)

Now we move forward to hardening and smoothing it out. I brushed on some Smooth Cast 320 on the outside, and then also roto-cast it inside till I was satisfied with the thickness and strength.

Next I started drawing on the details where I wanted them to go:

I then started blocking in all the major details using foamies. Very handy little additions in my opinion. They can be used for a variety of things.

Let's fast forward a bit so I can show off some of the primered pictures with all the extra detail added. These are some of my favorite pictures!

Not completely satisfied, I then went back and added more details around the cheek vents using not only more foamies, but sulfur-free clay as well.

And all primered up again:

Some of you may recognize these pictures if you follow either Armory Props or Tucker Props on Facebook. I own Tucker Props, and I'm one of the team members of at Armory. I'll add links to both of those pages to my signature. That way you can keep up with current progress, and other projects I'm working on. Let me know what you guys think!
