I have this toy Vader helmet sitting on top of a shell that I got some time ago, around the time episode III was on theatre. My parents offered it to me for my birthday if I remember well, since I was repeatedly watching the OT on VHS and was in awe in front of Vader.
Given the time they bought it, it's more than likely a ROTS design, but I am really no expert on this, so maybe real experts here could tell me what design it's closest too, and if you think some improvements would be possible ?
I can see the basics :
-mouth area is wrong, would need proper metallic mesh, which I think I have found a good match for
-the silver parts are verrryy wrong, but I don't know how they are called and where I could find the right ones
-some seams sanding and bondo filling are in order
-velcro system for the dome has to go, I'm thinking magnets
That's all I can see, so if you see something else, please do tell and if you have an idea on how to fix it, it'd be nice too. I realise it probably will never be as good as the ones I see in the JY from time to time, but I thought it was a shame to just leave it like this collecting dust on top of a shelf when it could maybe be worthy of sitting with my other props !
