Casting a helmet question.

Just wondering;

when you guys casting helmets, the ones that have multiple pieces, i.e., Ironman faceplate/neck/helmet, do you cast them all in one THEN cut it, or do you cast each piece separately?

I'm making a helmet that has a faceplate that needs to be removed for wearing, but I've done them all in one and plan to cut it after.


if making a mould, would it be best to do it before or after the cut?
